Fantastic Cake and Coffee!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!! The place is Sparkling clean and menu really good! We didn’t have food as got tempted by the cakes but everything looks delicious.
Angela was fantastic and gave us a really warm welcome and impeccable service! We will definitely pop in again next season!

Just for the black forest cake alone, I’d give this place 5 stars. Best black forest cake I’ve had so far. There is good balance between the fresh and light cream, fluffy sponge and sweet pitted cherries. Did not expect this as the place looks like a pit stop along the road. The decor adds to the rustic charm of the place. Was pleasantly surprised!

Fresh Homemade Black forest cake. This place is a beauty. We wanted to taste the real home made black Forest cake. By the time we arrived (18:15) they were sold out and have no more cake left. Looking at us being disappointed, the Cuckoo's Nest team asked if we have time and can wait for 20 minutes so that they can make us one. The wait was worth. Never had so yummy and fresh Black forest cake. The cherries, the cream and all melted in freshness, tasted the best ever.
A beautiful place, decorative and the ambience was so good.

Decent enough nachos, incredibly boozy cake & a nice view. Pretty pricey, but it's touristy, so it's to be expected. The staff was very friendly. Paid parking right in front of the door and a cute giftshop attached to it.

If you're around this place, a must try. The cake is tasty and fresh. This was the second time we had cake here.
Parking has a 45mins free parking, perfect timespan for a cake and coffee stop.
Black Forest cake is usually available post lunch time.

The Best Homemade Black-forest Cake - We read the positive reviews on Google and went to Cuckoo’s Nest for some Black Forest Cake but when we reached it was completely sold out. The family running the place was very nice and friendly. They felt bad that we came so far and that they could not offer us any. They mentioned that the next cake was being prepared and that it would take another hour or so. We decided to have some snacks for our kids and then spend some time in the open air museum just beside. It started raining soon and so we rushed back to this place and were glad to find the cake was prepared. And oh boy, it was the best and freshest Black Forest cake we had in our whole trip. We were so impressed that we returned back the next day on our way back to Frankfurt.
