Great french inspired bakery that serves a large variety of baked goods. I doubt you will be disappointed with anything you choose, with that being said, if you are looking for the absolute best plain croissants, this place came in second or third place in SF.

Everything else was great and we’ll be back when we are in the area.

Che piccolo gioiello lontano dal centro.
Siamo entrati e l’odore di pasticceria ci ha avvolti. Avevano tantissima scelta ma noi siamo andati su una banana pie (da 10 e lode) e un Pain e chocolat (8.5). Il
Tutto accompagnato da due chai latte.
I posti a sedere sono pochi e anche fuori quindi meglio arrivare nei momenti non di punta.
Ottima colazione.

Amazing small bakery and cofee cafe on Larkin in the Nob Hill area. Perfect pastries and baked goods with a nice selection of cofee beverages. In my opinion, the best pastries and baked goods in Nob Hill. The staff are friendly and helpful and the quiet and relaxed atmosphere is always enjoyable.

It’s not everyday that you see sweet potato pie on anyone’s menu. So I had to give it a try and I was shocked. The pie was awesomeness. Not too sweet with a generally good crust. The merangue on the top confused me in the description but it served its purpose.

We ordered a birthday cake for a friend. It was beautifully decorated and delicious. Vince was super helpful in helping us customize the order. We will definitely be getting more custom cakes and wish we had known about them before!

The French Spot, nestled in the Polk business corridor, may seem unassuming from the outside with its simple decor and inconspicuous storefront. However, stepping inside reveals a treasure trove of delectable pastries. I've had the pleasure of visiting twice, and on both occasions, I was treated to great experiences.

Their croissants and danishes are a true indulgence, boasting a flaky texture and delightful flavors. In addition to the classic offerings, they also showcase their creativity with unique options like black sesame. The bakery's repertoire extends beyond croissants, with a rotating selection of buns, tarts, and mochi to tantalize your taste buds.

The service at The French Spot is friendly, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Seating options, however, are a little limited, with just a few inside and outside.

This little bakery/cafe is really cute. The exterior and interior of the place is really nice and very clean! The lady working up at the front was very kind and was nice enough to let me know her favorite pastries. As far as the pastries go, there is a LOT to choose from. There is a huge variety and it was honestly really hard for me to choose. But I ended up getting the tomato and spinach quiche and vietnamese coffee. I was pretty disappointed at the taste of the quiche and I ended up not finishing it. The vietnamese coffee was okay but I wanted to give this place one more chance and went the very next morning. I got the ube mochi and sweet potato pie. These 2 were definitely better but still not GREAT. Maybe it's because it tastes better when they're freshly made? So I recommend going right when they open. Also each pastry is $5 or more. It's quite pricey and it's not something I would get often.
